"Good News" (Brishan Hatcher, Chris Brewster) We worked up a few songs at church camp, and sang for the kids at camp a couple of times. This was the first time I ever sang in front of a group of people. |
"Spirit of Praise" (Dick & Fran Hostetler, Jenny Hostetler, John DiMarzio, Joe DiMarzio, Sue Jackson, Nate Jackson, Kelly DiMarzio) I owe a debt of gratitude to all the members of this group, as they helped me to realize and pursue my dreams and the will of God. |
Paid Gigs: |
"Timothy" (Timothy Tibbles) This was my first paid singing gig right out of high school. His family took me in as one of their own, and for that I will always be grateful. |
"Freedom" (Bret Testerman (formerly w/AVB), Steve Maxwell (currently w/Acappella), Jason Cassady) I went on many long and great road trips with these guys. |
"Kenosis" (Aaron Herman, Scott Belin) In late 1994, I started an internship with The Acappella Company in Paris, TN. This is the first group I sang with there. I learned a lot about studio engineering, touring sound, etc. with this group. |
"AVB" (Brishan Hatcher, Aaron Herman, Kevin Schaeffer), another group within The Acappella Company. I started singing with this group in early 1995. Starting with our very first rehearsal, this group totally "clicked". I really miss these guys. |
"Vocal Union" (John Laws, Gary Miller, Darrin Cochran, Roy Hawkins, Kevin Schaeffer, Aaron Herman, Keith Lancaster) This is yet another group within The Acappella Company. I started singing with them around the same time I started with "AVB". This group has an amazing sound. |
"Acappella" (Robert Guy, Steve Reischl, Duane Adams) This is the "flagship" group of The Acappella Company. I started singing with them in late 1995. It was truly a blessing to be able to sing with this group of guys whose talents more than surpass my own. |

"50's At the Hop" I started singing with this live show in Branson, MO in 1998, and am still with them today. In peak season, we do two shows per day, six days a week. This group is comprised of 14 very talented singers and musicians. This has been my first experience working with a group outside of the Christian a cappella genre, and I have to admit it was a bit of a culture shock. Although the show could be considered "secular", it is very family oriented with its 50's and 60's rock n roll. In my time with this show, I have been voted "Bass Vocalist of the Year" by the Branson All American Entertainment Awards (Branson's version of the Grammys) for 1999, 2000, and 2001. I was also inducted into the Branson Entertainment Awards Musicians and Entertainers Hall of Fame in 2001. Branson is also where I broke the world record for the lowest note produced by a human (see Guinness - 8 What?). |

Although I am not in a Christian a cappella group, I continue to write and record Christian a cappella music with the hope of spreading God's Word with the talents he has given me. |
